Dr. Eman Mahmoodi is an applied AI scientist and innovator with over a decade of experience designing intelligent, data-driven systems across NLP, IoT, and financial trading industries. As the Founder and CEO of ExpressJoy, he leads the mission to redefine the future of immigration law through Agentic AI and intelligent automation.
Eman has a unique ability to bridge advanced machine learning research with real-world legal applications, leveraging AI to reduce complexity, improve accuracy, and empower professionals — not replace them. Partnering closely with immigration attorneys, he is building a new class of AI-powered legal workflow tools that combine legal expertise with state-of-the-art automation to accelerate case preparation and improve access to justice.

Eman has held key research and leadership roles at Hughes, Interactions, and ExpressJoy, most recently serving as a Senior Principal Data Scientist, where he led teams developing AI solutions for language understanding, predictive modeling, and algorithm optimization.
His professional focus spans optimization algorithms, reinforcement learning, predictive modeling, time-series forecasting, and applied AI for workflow automation.
